Increasing charith legacy supporters

Sussex Cancer Fund are a small but long-established charity based in Brighton, which supports people in the county who have received a cancer diagnosis. To help increase their income and safeguard the charity for the future, they wanted, with a modest budget, to convey the impact of gifts in Wills in a creative and entertaining way.

A simple yet effective animation

Realising people’s attention spans are short and the public can sometimes feel bombarded by the charity asks out there, we wanted to get across Sussex Cancer Fund’s message and call to action in around 2 minutes.

To sustain people’s interest, we didn’t want to preach to or depress them, but rather show how real people can be helped by the charity’s endeavours, which is to an extent funded by gifts in Wills.

Working with our team of animation, script writing and videographer associates, we developed a script and storyboard designed to be emotive, uplifting and persuasive.

For maximum impact, we used a real charity beneficiary to voice and appear in the film, combining a contemporary illustrative style with real-life imagery.

Jos is sensational!

We can’t talk about results without mentioning the incredible Jos Hill, a breast cancer survivor who kindly agreed to be the star of the show! She was fantastic, as were her children – and the family cat – who all played cameo roles!
